And another thing.
Co-op shift this evening: heaps of people telling lies about no GP
appointments today when all the docs and staff say GP surgeries quiet all
day. The public just prefer to come to a treatment centre at the end of the
day when they have finished work / shopping / social life. I can see this
becoming a much more persistent habit when GPs are no longer paying and will
have no interest in stemming the tide. How happy I am to be a shareholder in
a business which is about to see a boom.
I did see a couple of really ill people who had taxied in miles from the
outer reaches of the city without a whisper of protest and were overwhelmed
with gratitude that I had offered a consultation - in contrast to those
living half a mile from the treatment centre grizzling about not getting a
home visit for the cold they'd had for the last week and a half........
I do love my work!
