I dunno. I was amazed recently when Hotch revealed his required
staffing level as a single-hander.
We are a 4 doc practice (about 3 WTE's) and we run with 2 part-time
receptionists and one part-time office manager/biller. We are in Canada
of course and so don't do in-house repeats.
We see booked patients (and walk-ins) from 9-12 then1/1:30 to 5pm 5
days a week.
So, I conclude that the staff in UK practices must have a lot more
paperwork to do (yes, I know stuff other than repeats, but repeats are a
big chunk).
Cheers
