Even better if you had an independent medical examination, by someone who owed a duty of care to the insurance company.
This way the best outcome is that they say that they cannot discuss anything except factual findings with you, and at best will contact your gp.

Subject: Insurance company medicals
Decided to take out some extra Life Insurance and the company wants me to have a full medical with my GP.
Now I don't mind the medical - but I really don't want to know the results - and will in all likelihood refuse to take any
treatment if offered.
So is it a problem for a GP to keep the results of a medical from the patient and to take no medical action whatever the
result?
