These are being pushed hard by PCTs and Trusts as studies showed quite quit
levels. A friend says that their local clinics don't suceed anything like
the research. the costs works out at £700 per patient year stopped and the
cost for an individual patient to cease for more than 5 years a staggering
£7500. Any one had similar experience? Is it too un-PC to suggest the mnoney
would be better spent elsewhere? Afterall at the end of the day, it's the
patients responsibility to run thier life, not ours.
It's not because of the evidence, they are under national instructions /
targets
