We take students from a school on the other side of the city and check they
don't know & aren't related to any of our patients. We also have a formal
pre-consent procedure, adapted from the one we use for medical students. We
organise only via the school so we know we aren't getting casual voyeurs but
only bona fide students.

Subject: Students
This question was recently posted to the UK Practice Managers list and I was
surprised by the restrictions suggested by those who responded, most of whom
were presumably managers.
Knowing the (much more liberal ;-)) attitudes of members of this list I
wondered how you lot felt about this proposal.
I speak as someone who has allowed A-level students into the consultation,
with the usual caveats of patient's permission and signed confidentiality
agreements.
