No but they have gone quiet. The letter was sent in haste by the deputy
director of primary care when the DOPC was away so we are not adding to
their embarrassment & anyway it wasn't written to us, just borne gleefully
back to us by our laughing Health Visitors who think the whole thing is a
hoot (& are enthusiastically putting into operation our Minor Injuries
protocol as well, but that's another story).
The whole world will have changed in a few years so I'm not afraid of being
haunted. The LMC is diplomatically discussing matters with the PCTs and the
StHA but its policy is that the old contract finished on 31.3.2004 and there
is no obligation on practices to do anything not in the new contract from
1.4.2004.
