It'll be the dates.
We've had the same thing happen this month - down by ~200 points - because
eg flu vaccs are searched for from 1st Sept to 31st March (I think)
therefore nothing showing for those at present

Subject: GMS contract points, how do the searches work?
We are busy checking our tick box work for the new contract by running the
PCT approved searches on our system.
We have hit a very BIG problem and wonder if anyone has any ideas.
We are busy summarising notes and putting them on to the system, with
entries attributed to the actual dates of diagnosis not today's date (Torex
synergie is the system in case anyone has missed my previous posts)
We have various search engines, but the PCT and I think DSS approved one
always yields the lowest points, but on our last run it has dropped to 125
or there about. On other searches earlier on we were at 600 or more a few
months ago. We know that 125 does not reflect the truth as we have been busy
recalling patients entering BPs when out of date etc and our data should be
improving considerably.
Any one got any ideas? Have any of you been doing the same thing and getting
different or the same answers?
We are using the synergy GMS Sophies to enter data so these should be giving
the correct READ codes for capture in a search.
HELP!!
If the search engine the PCT is using is the source of the problem, we would
be better off forgetting the points and quality indicators and start doing
some private work to make up our income. It is pretty disheartening to do so
much extra work with nothing to show for it.
