Interesting.
The NHS, on a large scale, rejects a large organisation set up specially to do
something fairly complicated in a standard way, and prefers to do it in
house. The people who bet it would be different lose if not their shirts at
least a few buttons on it.
Meanwhile, what I can only refer to as plans press on for the currently
distributed management of IT systems to be subsumed into a single national
one in order to do something complicated in a stnadard way.
Many shirts hang on this line.
Analogies of course are always suspect, and never more so when digital.
