It was announced by the Saudi foreign minister. It is hardly something
you will find confirmation of in google.
Who has an interest in destabilising Saudi?
a) Bin Laden/Al-Qaeda/Saudi Islamists/Saudi reformists
b) USA/Israel (sounds more like Paisley's "SF/IRA ;-)
The biggest 2 prizes in the MidEast are Egypt and Saudi. Egypt is already
in the pocket of the USA. Saudi needs a bit more work: few bombs here and
there, ensuing chaos, claims of breakdown of security, claims of threats
to national security of USA/Israel and world peace, followed by invasion
(troops are already there and many more on several borders), folowed by
installation of puppet government under a pretence of democracy and
stability (but see what's happening in Iraq!).
Never happened before? The USA never destabilised a country before? The
USA never invaded a country before? All in all, the USA has inavded 41
countries. Not one of them is a democracy. Hah!
The fall of Egypt and Saudi will ensure a MidEast (with all its human and
natural resources) firmly in the hands of USA business, and gives Israel
the fulfilment of Greater Israel.
Conspiracy theory? Perhaps, but the evidence and unfolding events point
in a very different direction.
