Our local lab is very keen on implementing an Order Comms solution from
Anglia Healthcare Solutions - ICE.
They intend vetting our requests to see if they are "appropriate", I
imagine with the intention of reducing the number of tests and costs
involved.
I can live with that, but does anyone have practical experience of this
system?
Are there any benefits for GP's or is it just another time-consuming hurdle
to getting a test done.
(For comparison: 1. writing an ordinary blood test request form takes me 40
seconds, 2. filling the practices pre-existing electronic form takes 25
seconds, and another 15 to print)
