I think that there should be no BLANKET release of a Gp's patient list to a
pharmacy-the patient should be asked about this aspect of GMS. Patients can
currently CHOOSE
where they take their precription : there can be significant personal
reasons esp in small communities why one pharmacy is preferred, or a distant
chemist is chosen.
The advent of the NHSCare Record Service as currently described may
disable patients' own decisions about which professionals they wish to know
who is their GP, never mind their specific prescription, and access to their
clinical record- or subsets of it.
