I was among the numbers quoted having been accepted as an advisor on the
national programme after an application in 2/03. They suggested perhaps 1day
per week would be the likely commitment, but the only meeting that
materialised was a day in July last year. I was asked if still interested
and replied in October last year, but had a letter 1week ago saying the
national clinical advisor programme was being wound up in favour of cluster/
SHA programmes. I know others who were accepted as advisors but never
attended anything in the year.

How many were from primary care? Who were they and how were they picked
so as to be representative? Were they able to feedback information to
the profession (in which case what did they say and where can we read
this) - or were their tongues cut out?
