I believe this sort of thing has been documented before.
There was an execellent article on lycanthropy, which is one of the interpretations of this phenomenon in that favourite magazine, world medicine (RIP)
Perhaps one of the list has kept the back numbers.

Just had a rather eccentric well post-menopausal epileptic lady in who
claims her fits occur with the month. Checked her A+E attendances against my
diary and, blow me, they occur around the full moon. These are genuine
seizures too.
Explanation? no she is not nuts or got porphyria.
