In about 1992 we were visited because our prescribing of ACE inhibitors was
considered excessive, we pointed out our patients rates of IHD were
excessive too and they were doing remarkably well on them, but this cut
little ice, we had to 'pull our socks up as we were letting the NHS down'.
Curiously we prescribe them even more now.
