'The Crown' I understand never insures such Items, and thus you PCT will not
insure though they will replace, and here's the rub, with equipment that is
theirs not yours, so a pragmatic view on the value to you of your kit is
required. More interesting is the insurance for reinstatement of data after
its loss. Now we have 3 monthly data checks by our suppliers to establish
our data rebuilds, and we have a sum insured to cover the cost of
reinstating it if we lost it and backup failed after the validitiy check but
before the next off site review. 3/12 loss of data could make quite a hole
in your Q and O am awaiting (but not expecting) an answer on their level of
support for this one as they are responsible for data integrity now!
