Hi All,
We're having a philosophical debate here!
I have a block design with two conditions (ABAB). In condition A subjects shifted their attention to
the target. In condition B they shifted their attention and made a saccade to the target. The
question is how to model these two conditions.
Option 1: One regressor for attention which is equal to 1 whenever A or B is present. One
regressor for movement which is equal to 1 during B.
Option 2: One regressor for A. One regressor for B. Attention is a (1,1) contrast. Movement is a
(-1,1) contrast.
Any help resolving this issue would be much appreciated.
