Dear FSL users,
If anyone is interested, I have got FSL to compile and install successfully
on a Gentoo-based Linux system. Without intending to start a Linux
"distro war", I find Gentoo of interest because it is quite reasonably
up-to-date in its tool chain (eg. gcc 3.3.2, libraries to match) without
sacrificing security. I previously used Debian GNU/Linux and that was
perfectly adequate for FSL, however other analysis programmes were becoming
insistent on later tool chains so there was a need to move.
Anyone who wants to know the from-source details for FSL on Gentoo is
welcome to contact me and I will be pleased to share the contents of my
specific config directory. In this context FSL works very happily on my
KDE desktop.
To the FSL team -- thanks for a great product and the sterling work you are
doing!
Kind regards,
Denis
