Dear Colleague,
Netskills will be running the following workshops at Edinburgh's Telford
College (RSC Scotland N&E) in January 2005:
1. An Internet Highway Code - Staying Safe, Secure and Legal Online
(January 7th)
Despite the protection offered by institutional systems and procedures,
both providers and users of web services can still face real risks when
online. New evidence suggests that it is people, as much as technology,
who compromise security and that many are not aware of the legal, moral
and ethical implications of being online and how their actions can have
serious repercussions for themselves and their employers.
2. Design Solutions for e-Learning (January 13th)
This workshop investigates a range of design solutions for pedagogically
effective web-based course design to aid and support the teaching and
learning process.
3. Content Solutions for e-Learning (January 14th)
This workshop addresses the practical issues and solutions for
developing and converting content to web-based formats, together with
locating and utilising reusable online content from a variety of
sources.
Full details of these workshops, together with booking forms are
available from our web-site:
