**Final call for submissions**
The deadline for abstract submissions to ICE2 is 17 September.
The symposium will focus around the issues of power, identity and
culture in online learning. Held over three days at Higham Hall in the
English Lake District, it aims to give teachers, developers, researchers
and theorists a chance to discuss the culture, theory and politics of
learning and teaching in the digital domain.
The keynote speaker will be Erica McWilliam from the Queensland
University of Technology. Author of Pedagogical Pleasures and How to
Survive Best Practice, and co-author of Pedagogy, Technology and the
Body, her mission as a speaker and writer is to 'seek out and destroy
irony deficiency in all its forms'.
Contributions may be any combination of conceptual, critical, empirical,
theoretical or experimental, and should relate to the symposium's key
themes of power, identity and culture in online learning.
