Hi Tom
Just picked up Tim Allen's e-mail which refers to yours and would want to
pursue your refernece to the internationalist - situationist poet as well.
Do you mean more innovative/experiemntal writing sometimes referred to as
the 'Cambridge school' from the 70s and 80s or the London scene from the
same period?
I'd agree with you that a lot of poetrywhich doesn't interest me has been
published on the internet but equally much of the work published by
'mainstream' presses fails to interest me. So I'm not sure of that
distinction.
When i referred to national structures I suppose i was interested in the way
the internet allows local or locale to talk to local. This could still lead
to an exploration of cultural differences and similarities, without anyone
necessarily 'representing' their country.
