I heard something on intouch
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/intouch.shtml) about a couple of
portable dedicated ebook readers a few weeks ago (they wont be switch
accessible!)... But I cant find the references.
It could be possible to do a custom PDA switch book reader (lot of work), or
to butcher a PDA keyboard to do the same job (little work)...
Sure i've been no use at all!
Cheers

First let me apologies for reverting back to this topic. I would welcome
mailbase users experience of using portable ebook hardware that is not
directly tied to a laptop or desktop computer and which would be suitable
for the computer illiterate. Can any of the commercial ebook hand held
devices be operated by external switches? Is it possible to upload an ebook
into a PDA then configured external switch sockets to control page turns?
This concept would facilitate a cheap reading process, allow lightweight
mounting solutions and provide portability for the computer illiterate. A
helpful computer buddy could then upload a new story as and when necessary
using a PDA cradle. Any tried and tested portable solutions?
Kind Regards
Richard
