Does anyone have any experience with stair climbing wheelchairs? Social
services are looking at the Alber C-MAX disability aid - step/stair
climbing wheelchair as a solution to an external concrete flight of
stairs for a client with Frederichs Ataxia.
I have no experience of these products in use although I have been
informed they are used safely in some public buildings. My concerns are
around client ability to control (in view of diagnosis and prognosis),
general safety, maintenance, repairs, and practical use in other areas.
I would be grateful for any feed back anyone has - i am attending a
demo on Monday 15th and would like to be fore warned of any potential
difficulties.
Look forward to your replies
