Upcoming online courses in resampling at statistics.com:
Phillip Good will be offering his online course “Introduction to Resampling
Methods” again January 7-28. Dr. Good is the author of “Resampling
Methods,” (Wiley) “Permutation, Parametric, and Bootstrap Tests of
Hypotheses,” (Springer), and numerous other books. This course will cover
both confidence intervals and hypothesis tests using permutation procedures
and the bootstrap (including the parametric, variance stabilized, and bias
corrected & accelerated bootstraps).
He will also be offering a new course – “Advanced Resampling Methods,”
March 18 – April 8. This course will cover permutation procedures for
categorical data (Fisher’s Exact, stratified 2x2, ordered RxC, boundary
problems), designs with matched pairs, combining continuous and categorical
data, validation, and more.
Each course runs 3 weeks and should require about 10 hours per week. There
are no set hours when you must be online – complete each week’s work on
your own schedule. Dr. Good will answer your questions via a private
discussion board. To take a look at these and other courses, please visit
