EPSRC Project Studentship
Imaging orbital polarization.
A project studentship, funded by the EPSRC and to be held in the
research groups of Dr M. Brouard and Dr C. Vallance, is available
in the Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory, Department
of Chemistry, Oxford University. The mechanisms of atmospherically
important photodissociation systems will be studied using
velocity-map ion imaging techniques. The experiments will involve
the measurement of orbital polarization effects in the atomic
products of the photodissociation of simple gas phase molecules.
The studentship is available from September/October 2004 and lasts
up to 36 months. Applicants should email or write directly to Dr
M. Brouard, The Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory,
South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3QZ by 1 June 2004. Applicants for
the full studentship must be EU nationals.
