**with apologies for cross posting**
Yorkshire Universities Information Skills Group presents
Information Skills: pedagogy and practicalities
Monday 22nd March 2004
University of York
A day of presentations, workshops and opportunities to exchange
experiences and good ideas for those interested in or involved with
delivering information skills teaching. We will be using the tool of
reflection to enable us to relate what we have heard to the way we work.
The programme draws upon the experience of practitioners in HE.
**Charge for the day, including refreshments and lunch: £30**
The day will look at the pedagogy and practicalities of information
skills teaching. The programme was devised in response to feedback from
previous seminars and there will be theoretical as well as practical
sessions. The fourth in a series of Yorkshire Universities seminars,
the day has again a simple aim for the information skills practitioners
taking part:
To help us to do it better! This will be achieved by:
· encouraging reflective practice
· sharing ideas
· providing a networking opportunity
While this event has initially been open to staff from Yorkshire
Universities only, we are now throwing it open to any and all interested
participants.
