Some marketing guy should be shot for coming up with the name "PCI
Express". It's extremely confusing.
In the commodity market, it's so far mostly used for graphics cards,
but it's a general bus (well, technically it isn't a "bus"...). Which
means you can get a cheapish gaming motherboard with a PCI Express
slot intended for a high-end graphics card and plug an infiniband card
in that slot instead. Yummy.
