Seminars for Recently-Qualified Archive Professionals

Suitable for archivists and records managers who have recently qualified
and/or who are on the SoA Registration Scheme.
This two-day event has been designed for newly-qualified archive
professionals. It provides an opportunity to develop your knowledge in
specific areas, and discuss some of the topical issues with your
contemporaries. It is recognised as one of the main events for those
undertaking the SoA Registration Scheme. A Registration Scheme reception
is also programmed from 18.00 to 20.30 on 19 May 2004.
The aim of the event is to make each seminar as practically applicable as
possible to your working environment. Workshop sessions are also included
in the programme to encourage debate and consolidation of the information.

Moving Image Archives and Sound Archives. Jane Alvey, East Anglia Film

· p.m. Archives in Education. Archives as learning organisations,
formal education – what teachers, pupils and students want or need, making
archives accessible to new audiences, lifelong learning - providing for
adult learners, outreach strategies and community involvement. James

Stevenson, Archives Hub.
