A new online course at statistics.com by Dr. Bryan Manly will be of
interest to those who help prepare or review environmental impact assessments.
“The Statistics of Environmental Impact Assessment” reviews general
statistical procedures (sampling, regression, analysis of variance, control
charts) from an environmental science angle, and also covers topics that
are specific to environmental impact and risk assessment. If you are an
analyst with general statistics in your background and need a review from
an environmental perspective, this course is for you.
It will be taught Nov. 5 – Dec. 3 by Dr. Bryan Manly, author of “Statistics
for Environmental Science and Management,” “The Statistics of Natural
Selection on Animal Populations,” “Resource Selection by Animals,” and many
other books and articles.

As with all online courses at statistics.com, there are no set hours when
you must be online, and you can interact with the instructor over a period
of 4 weeks via a private discussion board. Courses typically require about
10 hours per week.
