As a result of this postponement, we are still accepting short proposals
(250 words max) for presentations:
New deadline Monday 12 January 2004
MOVING FORWARD?
NEW RESEARCH DIRECTIONS IN BLACK AND ASIAN STUDIES
Saturday 21 February 2004
The conference will be a one day conference (10:00am to 5:00pm) to be held
at the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, London.
As with previous conferences, BASA sees this as an opportunity to bring
together people with a range of enthusiasms for Black and Asian studies
within a British context, particularly regarding the historical presence of
Black and Asian people in Britain. Speakers may be active in community
heritage projects, engaged with family or local history, teaching in
schools or from the academic sector.
