Can we have some clarification first on the purpose and area served by
the
various groups.  My understanding was that whereas HBSMR User Group
serves a
British-wide or even International audience and hence could have
meetings
anywhere (I believe the Bahamas was mentioned at the last meeting and
have
already started saving my air miles), the HER Forum meetings are
organised
by English Heritage primarily for the English SMRs.  I seem to remember
that
when a meeting was held in Edinburgh this was heralded as a fraternal
visit.
If I am right HER Forum meetings should normally be held in England.  If
I
am wrong presumably Historic Scotland/CADW etc should join with EH in
bearing some of the costs.
