Dear all,
The workshop planned on the topic of adding archaeological science data
(including environmental data)to the SMR/HER is going to take place here at
the Institute of Archaeology in London next Thursday the 18th of December.
I have sent a reminder and an agenda to those who showed an interest. I am
afraid that only few SMR officers will attend this coming workgroup as
there have been two or three bad defections from people whom I considered
crucial to the discussion of this topic. I expect that there will be ten to
twelve people at the workshop which is pretty ideal for any discussion
round a table but again, I am concerned at the low level of representation
from the SMR/HER itself. So, if in spite of your collective aversion to
travelling, some of you could think again and maybe lend a hand on the
18th, I would be eternally grateful. It is essential that we have a good
input from the professional body who is going to be the most concerned with
the outcomes of the discussions of the workgroup.
If you wish to come after all, please let me know and I shall send you an
agenda and I shall be very very happy to see you on the 18th.
With my best wishes,
Dominique
