Could you please explain more precisely how speed leads to increase the
accomodation lenght of the pupil ? Are you referring to accomodation in
terms of focussing to a longer distance ? And with respect to visual angle,
could you precise what measure for visual angle you are considering when
referring to the spontaneous vision angle reduction ? - In fact we designed
this experiment to check for the possible changes in the useful field of
view regarding speed. We measured gaze direction and studied the spatial
gaze distribution. We also included a condition with a simultaneous
perifheral detection and discrimination task - the spatial gaze variability
was reduced for higher speeds, although with no negative consequences in
terms of peripheral visual impairment ...
