Hello,
I am in the process of restructuring a rather small online software
repository (scripts for the jed programmers editor) and I would like to
use DC for the classification/labelling of the user-contributed
scripts.
After browsing the Site for some time, I decided to follow the advice in the
FAQ "How do I begin implementing the DCMES?" -- read the User Guide and ask
the DC-General mailing list.
Is there a similar project existing (using DC for software catalogues)?
I found the value "Software" in the DCMI Type Vocabulary, but I
did not find a "software project" in the list on
http://dublincore.org/projects/.
Where is the right place for questions like
* When I store the script (also called mode) in a directory foo/
with foo/index.php -- index-file of
http://jedmodes.sourcforge.net/mode/foo/
foo/1.0/foo.sl -- first version
foo/1.1/foo.sl -- actual script file
Which is the correct value for the "identifier" property of the
resource "jed mode foo"
identifier: http://jedmodes.sourceforge.net/mode/foo/1.1/foo.sl
or
identifier: http://jedmodes.sourceforge.net/mode/foo/
source: http://jedmodes.sourceforge.net/mode/foo/1.1/foo.sl
?
* Which term could be used for the property "stability/maturity" with values
[experimental, alpha, beta, stable]?
(an analogon for a scientific paper might be [draft, submitted to ...,
accepted for publication, published])
* Is there a precedence of encoding Dublin Core in a text file (in a
way similar to mail headers, say)?
Sincerely,
Günter Milde
