I'm now trying to install the RPMs on a second system, which is RH7.2
based. I have come up against a different wall this time:
[root@marsanne edg-ui]# rpm -Uvh *.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
libc.so.6(GCC_3.0) is needed by
edg-wl-ui-cli_gcc3_2_2-2.0.15-2
[root@marsanne edg-ui]# ll /lib/libc.so.6
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root /lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.2.4.so
And I am being entirely unsuccessful at installing an appropriate
version of libc.so.6. Can anyone give a hint as to how to proceed?
Attempts to upgrade glibc result in variations on:
error: failed dependencies:
rpmlib(PartialHardlinkSets) <= 4.0.4-1 is needed by
glibc-common-2.2.5-43
Cheers,
Ian.
