I see that Matthew Woodcock (sometime of this list) has a book coming out
in Spring on 'Fairy in The *Faerie Queen*: Renaissance Elf-fashioning and
Elizabethan Myth-Making' - quite possibly the most groan-making subtitle in
recent Renaissance studies! Anyone seen an advance copy? According to the
Ashgate catalogue it includes a chapter on 'Reading fairies in early modern
texts' that might be relevant to recent discussions.
