It seems like you have received suggestions for standard qualitative software packages, which I would define as facilitating an analysis of more involved text then you seem to describe.
If the open responses or only one or two words, you may be better off not using a qualitative software package and just entering responses into a quantitative database. All of the packages mentioned are very strong, like ETHNOGRAPH, HyperRESEARCH and ATLAS.ti as well. But they are really built for situations where text responses are more complete and complex. Where you see more than one idea happening at a time and where these ideas are difficult to sort out in a simple spreadsheet.
Bottom line - think about whether or not you are buying too much of a package for your purpose.
