italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
This may be a useful source:
Fabrizio della Seta, 'Italia e Francia nell'Ottocento', a cura della Societa' Italiana di Musicologia, 9 (Turin: EDT, 1993)
It has detailed sections on Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi.

italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
I really need this information for my partner, who is planning to do a
presentation on the history of opera for her oral exam - she's trying to
find sources actually in Italian, rather than English translations, but so
far Google hasn't yielded anything particularly helpful.
Any suggestions from the list would be welcome.
Thanks
Toby Abse
