Dear All,
Not only that, but all organisations holding skellies should be licenced by the Human Tissue Authority. We've got a couple of boxes of human skeletal remains, and may get more from time to time. Will we have to go through another layer of bureaucracy just to receive the smallest scrap of human bone from a watching brief ?? A review of the report is given on the following web site http://www.spiked-online.com/Articles/00000006DFDE.htm
Cheers,
Neil

Dear all
Have many of you looked at the recent DCMS report on reburial of human
remains held in museum collections? One thing that struck me was the
assertion that retention of UK originated HSR was not contentious, so the
report concentrated on holdings of overseas HSR in UK museums.
So, is this issue non-contentious in the UK? I have three requests for
reburial at the moment, so I would have to say it is definitely an issue.
Has anyone else had to address this, and if so how? What do people think in
general about this issue?
cheers
Quinton
