I think the document Patrick is referring to is a codification of the
Working Time Directive.
The CBI and the unions have been arguing for weeks about what Marie is
talking about, as the UK's opt out from the 48 hour week officially ended
last Sunday. According to a press release from Amicus on Friday however
(http://uk.biz.yahoo.com/031121/250/eelui.html), the Commission proposal
isn't expected until Spring or Summer of next year. Not sure that this
helps!
regards
Paul
