Apologies for cross-posting or if you have received this already.
The National Disability Team (NDT) and Skill: the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities have been asked to undertake a scoping study and literature survey of existing resources and studies of outreach, aspiration raising and transition of disabled students from FE to HE. The aims of the scoping study are to undertake a comprehensive review of existing resources and studies relating to issues concerned with outreach, aspiration raising and transition, to identify the major lessons related to disabled people in the context of current policy and practice, to make recommendations to the HEFCE and LSC to inform future policy and to draw out a range of further research issues for consideration by the Councils.
Therefore, we are requesting relevant information, including any research, reports and examples of good practice that you have that would support this work. All of the issues raised will then feed into the final recommendations to the LSC and HEFCE to ensure that their policies and plans adequately reflect the needs of disabled students.
If anybody has any information or leads that they could send to me as soon as possible I would be more than grateful
Many thanks
Jenni
