Dear All,

ITS DISSEMINATION SEMINAR - IN SITU REMEDIATION IN GERMANY AND THE
NETHERLANDS
A core aim of FIRSTFARADAY is to enhance the position of
the UK contaminated land and water sector in the global
marketplace. The partnership is therefore committed to
providing opportunities and facilitating links with
industry and academia across the world. The expanding EU
represents a major market opportunity for UK businesses.
To explore the opportunities FIRSTFARADAY led a DTI Global
Watch mission to Germany and the Netherlands, focusing on
understanding the implementation of remediation
technologies within a risk-based framework.
This free one day event on 9th December 2003, will report
back the findings from the Global Watch mission. The first
half of the seminar is devoted to the dissemination of the
findings from the mission and the second half will
introduce further opportunities for links, business and
projects.
There will be an opportunity to view displays from UK
organisations that facilitate business links and
opportunities overseas including UK Trade and Investment,
JEMU and the DTI's Global Watch service. There will also
be displays concerning a number of European initiatives,
including Euroenviron, CORONA and CABERNET.
The event will take place on 9th December 2003 in the Mary
Oglivie Theatre at St Anne's College, Oxford.
