pro-active supporter of DAN and the disabled people's movement Jane Campbell
is the Chair of SCIE. Also in attendance at the conference Peter Beresford,
Shaping Our Lives.
There is no excuses for anyone not attending because expenses will be paid.
If 'We' want to express our voices and concerns around social care for all
disabled people then this is our opportunity.

Progress through Partnership
Social care is changing and SCIE has a unique role to play in ensuring that
change is for the better.
SCIE believes that involving people and building networks is critical to its
aims - building an up-to-date, relevant knowledge base and making
information easily available to everyone working in and using social care
services.
That is why SCIE has set up its Partners' Council and is developing practice
partnerships with organisations in the statutory, voluntary and independent
sectors.
Though this conference, though music, theatre and keynote speeches, SCIE
will demonstrate how positive change comes about through partnership.
