CETIS Metadata and Digital Repository SIG Meeting,

There are still places available for this SIG meeting. The programme is
nearly finalised, as well as the usual updates on IMS, IEEE and other work
on standards and specifications for educational metadata and repositories
we have:
A Report from the JORUM+ project about work towards a national repository
of learning materials for JISC.
Ben Ryan and Steve Walmsley of HLSI repository talking about user needs and
metadata quality.
Peter Douglas of intrallect, talking about "the UK LOM Core in intraLibrary
2.0".
Ed Barker of ICBL, Heriot-Watt University (and occasionally of the CETIS
MDR SIG) talking about metadata and repository issues which he has looked
at as part of a JISC funded study into the long term retention of rearning
objects.
Mike Clarke of the LTSN, talking about the LTSN/JISC's "Finder" Learning
and Teaching Portal which is in development.

are limited. To register, email the SIG Coordinator (Phil Barker,

indication of your background and the reason for your interest in the meeting.
