The new Uk guidlines for MPhils/and PhDs includes
appropriate training in research methods plus allied
areas and so often if you are registered for a reserach
degree you may well take masters modules as part of that
programme
You should consider which route to take part time or
fulltime, as already stated if part time
flexibility may be needed during data collection periods
You may also find some posts adevertised linked with
reserch units which offer good salaries and you can
register for a MPhil/Phd as part of the post
Keele University recently had two such posts in the
musculoskeletal area and we currently have several physios
working in this way
