UK: new timing for the conference on Strategies in Qualitative Research using NUD*IST and NVivo. Four conferences in the series have been held at the Institute of Education of the University of London. The fifth will be at the University of Durham, UK, September 1-3, 2004. The conference will be hosted by the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at Durham, and will include pre-conference introductory workshops (on the Wednesday) and weekend post-conference working sessions (4-5 September) for researchers with projects in process.
Asia: this is a request to researchers in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore: we've a lot of demand for training and are considering a visit later this year, offering workshops and assisting those who would like to support our software in those sites. If you are interested in hosting or attending such events, or in providing support for our software in those areas, please contact [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
USA: training week for 2004: in April at the University of Georgia, Athens, I'll be teaching two, two-day hands-on workshops: on N6 (5-6 April) and NVivo. (7-8 April) The event is also a trainer training, and colleagues who know the software and are providing, or intending to provide, training to others can attend for free. If that's your situation, please contact [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Details of the workshops and registration will be on the UGA website shortly. For any preliminary enquiries, mail Kathy Roulston, [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Closer to now and home, the next training with QSR is in Melbourne 18 November, 2003 - a one-day workshop on N6. A new NVivo workshop has been scheduled for Wednesday - Thursday 1-2 December. And a new newsletter is out: <http://www.qsrinternational.com/resources/October%20Newsletter.pdf>.
Finally, please, would any listmembers who have a record of my current email address, change it now? See signature message below.
