Hi Stella
I am a PhD student myself and I have some tapes that need to be transcibed.
Would you be interested?
Perhaps we can talk over the phone about it.
My home number is 0208 7889513.
Or give me your number and I will call you.
Cheers
May

Subject: Re: Transcription work available
Is the transcribing work still available? I have just begun my PhD at
the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have some time on
my hands to get employed. I also have experience transcribing both with
a local tape recorder as well as with a traditional professional
transcriber with the foot-pedal. I have been processing qualitative data in
various ways since 1997.
If the work is still available, I would be grateful if I am considered
for it.
Yours sincerely,
Stella Nyanzi

We have a small amount* of transcription work available for someone experienced
in transcribing qualitative interviews.
*there will probably be about ten interviews on audio tape, averaging one hour
each, for transcription. The interviews have not yet taken place but it is
anticipated that they would take place over the next few months and that the
transcription could be done within a couple of weeks of each interview.
