Sharepoint is a major enterprise server and is really 3 different servers
(Web, Search and Indexing) in one. These server components can be either
loaded onto one server or spread over several different servers (a web
server farm).

Note that installation of SharePoint Portal Server 2003 on a domain
controller requires the use of SQL Server 2000 (MSDE will not work). Network
Servers with SharePoint Portal Server 2003 must be members of a Windows NT4,
Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003 domain.
