Colleagues
The British Library is pleased to make available on www.bl.uk from 27
October a new home page
and a series of welcome pages providing easier ways for our users to find
the
web content they need.
Welcome pages titled 'Services for researchers', 'Services for business',
and
'Services for library and information professionals' provide a window on the
most
important British Library web resources for people in these fields.
The 'Something for everyone' welcome page highlights our most important
content of
general interest. We have also established more readily identifiable areas
for
British Library supporters and potential supporters, the press, and
potential recruits.
The well established www.bl.uk navigation remains in place to ensure all our
users can
access the Library's web resources by whichever route they prefer.
The content and structure of the new welcome pages reflect the results of
detailed usability
testing. However we expect to review and improve the content of the pages
regularly on
the basis of feedback from the people who access them. Your comments will be
welcome.
