italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear Tony,
It may be surprising, but don't discount the possibility of this being a real name. A search of Italian libraries reveals at least one 'INGLESE, Italo'; one of them (with the middle name 'Erberto') was active in the 1910s, and may be the same person as the one you are seeking.
A web site for an Italo Inglese who is a contemporary of ours states: 'Si chiama proprio cosė, Italo Inglese. Non si tratta di uno pseudonimo.'
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
Best wishes, George

Is anyone able to better identify the author with the pseudonym (I
imagine) Italo Inglese who contributes stories e.g. "Parrucchiere: al
29" to Nuova Antologia in 1931 (pp. 594 -598) ?
