Volume 37.3: Historical Archaeology
Call for Papers
This volume aims to provide an international comparative context for
historical archaeology, covering the period c. 1500 – 1900 AD. Both
overviews and case studies are sought that will characterise distinctive
regional or national traditions of historical archaeology. Themes of
particular interest include approaches to the study of colonial contact,
class, gender and ethnicity. Commentaries or overviews would be welcomed
addressing issues of theory, historiography and methodology, in addition to
the political context of the practice of historical archaeology.
Papers must be received by January 2005, for publication in September 2005.
Editor: Professor Roberta Gilchrist
